Buko Shuzo is a historical sake brewery in Chichibu city at Saitama Prefecture. Saitama is famous for its sake production and there are 35 breweries at this area of Japan. The current building of Buko Shuzo is about 190 years old and has been designated as a national tangible cultural heritage. The sake is brewed using water which runs from Buko-san, a nearby mountain, and is drawn from a well on the premises. Visitors can take a short excursion to the production rooms and observe sake-making processes.
