Gunma Prefectural Office Observation Deck

The Gunma Prefectural Office Building (群馬県庁舎) is the tallest building in Gunma Prefecture with a height of 154 meters. It is located in Maebashi, the capital city of the prefecture. On its 32nd floor there is a free observation deck with panoramic views of the city and the mountains, including Mt. Akagi, a stratovolcano.

Gunma Prefecture is home to many of Japan’s excellent onsen villages, beautiful scenery and worth visiting destinations such as Takasaki city, the homeland of Daruma dolls and the Tomioka Silk Mill, Japan’s oldest modern model silk reeling factory and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
