Ginza Mitsukoshi’s lion in “BAGS Boys And Girls for Safety” uniform

Famous bronze lion outside Ginza Mitsukoshi’s main entrance wearing the uniform of “BAGS  Boys And Girls for Safety”.

BAGS is Tokyo traffic youth corps with members boys and girls of 3rd to 6th grades of elementary school (some groups accept younger children).  It was formed by the 98 Traffic Safety Associations in Tokyo with the aim of helping children learn traffic rules and manners through outdoor training and traffic safety activities, and to grow into kind, considerate members of society.
