Cherry blossoms at Shugenji Temple in Kamakura

Kanzakura winter cherry blossoms at the grounds of Shugenji (収玄寺), a Nichiren sect temple in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. The place was formerly the residence of Shijo Kingo (四条金吾, 1229-1296), a samurai and faithful follower of Nichiren (日蓮, 1222-1282), the Japanese Buddhist priest and philosopher of the Kamakura period.
