Shimoyoshida Station

Located in the city of Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, Shimoyoshida Station (下吉田駅) is the gateway to Chureito Pagoda, one of Japan’s most iconic and picturesque landmarks that offers a famous panoramic view of Mount Fuji.
The station is operated by the private railway company Fuji Kyuko (Fujikyu) on the Fujikyuko Line, and lies about 21.1 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Otsuki Station.

The station opened on June 19, 1929, and underwent a renovation in 2009 by industrial designer Eiji Mitooka
