Kinkakuji, the Temple of the Golden Pavilion

Kinkakuji, the “Temple of the Golden Pavilion” in northern Kyoto. The top two floors of the famous Rinzai-sect Zen temple are completely covered in gold leaf. The official name of the temple is Rokuon-ji.
