Nara was the capital of Japan from 710 to 794, lending its name to the Nara period. It is one of the country’s most popular destinations, located in Nara Prefecture and less than one hour from Kyoto and Osaka. Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara registered as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Properties.

Nara Park is home to hundreds of friendly and freely roaming deer which have been treasured as messengers from the gods.
