Sengen Shrine in historic Shikemichi, Nagoya

Sengen Jinja ( 浅間神社) is an old shrine in honor of the Shinto goddess Κo-no-hana-no-saku-ya hime. Τhe foundation date of the shrine is unknown. According to the historic “Owari-shi”, it was transferred to this site in 1647. The precincts have 7 old trees (camphor and zelkova trees) dating back some 300 years. The annual festival takes place here on October 1st and 2nd.

It is located at the historic district Shikemichi in Nishi-ku, Nagoya.
