The bronze statue of legendary samurai and military commander of the Kamakura period Kusunoki Masashige (1294-1336), known for his unswerving loyalty to the Emperor. It is located just south of the Tokyo Imperial Palace in the corner of Kokyo Gaien National Garden at Chiyoda.
