The statue of Hijikata Toshizo (土方 歳三, 1835-1869) at Takahata-fudo temple, Hino city, Tokyo. A famous samurai in the history of Japan, he was a vassal of the shogun at the end of the Edo period and vice commander of the Shinsengumi.
